Answer 1- Medical Transcription is a fast growing career in India. It involves maintaining the medical records of doctors mainly practicing in U.S.A.
The doctors send their records via satellite to Indian companies employing Medical Transcriptionists. This has to be then properly recorded by the medical transcriptionists and sent back to the doctors.

  Answer 2- The only minimum eligibility is skills required:-

Multimedia Developers can expect to find careers as trainers in corporations and public service agencies, as instructional multimedia designers and producers, as specialists in instructional computing and software design, and as computer-resource teachers. In addition, multimedia Instructional Designers may be involved in the design and production of informational CD-ROMs which are educational titles and reference material such as encyclopedias where information is presented in an easy-to-understand manner. They also design games that vary from "shoot everything that moves" arcade-style material to educational games which hide learning behind fun, and web sites that vary in content and intent as much as traditional CD products.

Career opportunities for multimedia developers continue to grow with the concurrent advances in multimedia and communications technologies. Recently there has been a marked increase in the number of schools, colleges, universities and other training programs that have embraced the potential for multimedia enhancement of learning materials. The same is true for corporations that are using multimedia technologies to create training programs to enhance the skills of their workforce.






  Answer 3- Masters in Computer Management is quite a lucrative course with good job opportunities. It equips the student with necessary skills to manage a computer network and to manage projects.   Answer 4- Typically almost all the graduate or post graduate courses in Computer Science require Mathematics as a subject in 12th std. The BCS course of Mumbai/Pune university is no exception.   Answer 5- You have already done a lot of courses. Instead of joining another one, you should assess your aptitude, personality and interests very carefully. Out of all the various subjects that you have learnt through the courses determine which one interests you the most. If you have an aesthetic and creative bent of mind, focus on graphic designing and multimedia.Otherwise pursue the databases and programming stream. Sharpen your skills through in-depth study, practice and live projects if possible. It is not necessary that every job requires a B.E. /M.C.A There are ample jobs for diploma holders who have the right skills. These tools are just a means of implementing the concepts and there are new tools in the market every day. So do not get bogged down by that. Just get yourself into the right direction, practice till you are perfect and work hard. Since Java and HTML are your plus points, I think you should pursue that.








  Answer 6- If you do not have Math's at 10+2 level and do not want to do your graduation degree with Mathematics you can opt for BIT (Bachelor of Information Technology). The degree is also sponsored by EDEXCEL London and also by IGNOU.
The selection is through entrance exam conducted in July - August.You can also do BCA from Rajasthan University.












  Answer 7- Entry in the Army is possible by giving the NDA entrance exam after 12th or by giving the CDS exam after graduation.   Answer 8- Health management is emerging as an area of professional management. It is aimed at providing management skills to professionals responsible for health services in the country.There are two types of professionals who opt for health and hospital management medical professionals (graduates) and other graduates. While the technical aspects such as procurement of equipment and medical expendables, recruitment and training of staff, management of professionals and research work are supervised by the "doctor administrator", the management and assignment of duties of other staff, maintenance and servicesas well as security are taken care of by graduates trained in health services management.

Several institutes offer hospital management courses:

(1) AIIMS, New Delhi offers 2-3 year course in masters in hospital administration (eligibility: MBBS with 3 year experience in a hospital) sponsored graduates with 7 year experience in hospital administration.

(2) Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai provides 2 year course in masters in hospital/health administration with 50 per cent marks and age below 45 years. The candidate must be MBBS/B.Sc. Nursing/ B.A./B.Com/B.Sc.

(3) Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, New Delhi offers 3 year (part time) course in health care management (eligibility: medical graduates with 5 year experience in hospital administration and sponsorship).

(4) Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur offers a 2 year course in master of Public health/master of health care administration (eligibility: graduates with 50% marks, selection through ALMAT). Programmes offered by this in statute are in collaboration with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA.

(5) Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Calcutta also offers the postgraduate diploma courses in hospital management to graduates in any branch of medical science/pharmacy/biological sciences.

Besides these institutes some universities also offer such courses in hospital and health management which include Punjab University, Chandigarh, Shivaji University, Vidyanagar, Kolhapur, Madurai Kamraj University, Madurai, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Institute of Management Studies, in dore.







  Answer 9- The profession has people from various fields like journalism, law, teaching, marketing, advertising, personnel administration, business management, behavioral sciences and so on.

A degree in the liberal arts with a broad general understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political affairs could be a good launch pad. You should be a good communicator for both in the native language and English.

Ability to communicate in Hindi is necessary for jobs in the central government or public sector undertakings. You must also hold a degree or diploma in PR, journalism or mass communication from a university or institute of repute. MBA could also lead to PR jobs as management courses tend to have in-built PR course components.

Formal training programmes are available as mass communication/public relations degree/diploma programmes are conducted by various universities. To be eligible one should have graduated in any subject. There are one or two year's duration courses and selection is through written test which is a test of communication skills. However even short term courses of six months-nine months duration known as PG diploma courses are conducted in various polytechnics or professional training institutes.

Some consultancies and PR firms also provide on the job training for new entrants (fresh graduates).

Answer 10- In our country the tourism sector has the largest direct employment which has shown a growth rate of 6% in the past decade. The overall value added employment in the tourism sector including hotels and restaurants is estimated about Rs. 80,000 crores.

Young graduates who have flair for history and languages could work as licensed guides. Tourist guides are in growing demand. Tourist guides are paid satisfactorily and their work is interesting. They have to meet new people. Proficiency in a foreign language is greatly helpful. Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management (IITM) offers a course after which the person can be empanelled as a guide. This is a short duration course. Training in cultural tourism is more popular. For tourist guide licence is issue both at state and central level by tourism department. Now tremendous employment opportunities exist in this industry. Travel services including tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, restaurateurs transport service providers, adventure and leisure tourism providers, heritage sites and their conservation, manufacture and sale of handicraft items, marketing of souvenirs- all of which need professionalism. Besides the specialized services, there are the support services: administration in the offices, secretarial and clerical work.

Different levels and types of training are available for this industry:

Tourist Guide: The Govt of India Tourist Offices and the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) at New Delhi and Gwalior, at the Kurukshetra University etc are some of the place for Tourist Guide Training. These are short-term (3-4 months) for graduates with a background in Art/Archeology/ History.

Answer 11- The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology at the Library Avenue, Pusa Complex, New Delhi, conducts a joint entrance exam for 19 hotel management institutions in our country. These institutions are all recognized and enjoy a good reputation.

Eligibility and Entrance Exam Details:

The student should have passed 12th with 50% in any streamand be below 22 years of age. Notification for admission is out in January and the test is in April.

The exam includes test of english language,numerical aptitude, Scientific aptitude, logical reasoning and general awareness. After clearing the exam the interview and group discussion is also held which aims at assessing the personality of the applicant.

Some of the private institutions also conduct three year diploma in hotel management and have their own entrance tests.

  Answer 12- Those who have law degree and complete their articleship can start their career as advocates or as solicitors. An advocate pleads in court and offers advice on legal matters.

Whereas a solicitor gives legal advise to clients on different personal and business matters and briefs the advocate before presenting in court.

A lawyer can specialize in many areas including civil, corporate, criminal patent, tax, international, real-estate, labour etc.

You can go to law with any stream but if you take stream of Arts or Humanities you will be more comfortable provided you choose subjects like English literature, Psychology, Sociology, Logic or Philosophy.

To become a lawyer one needs to have bachelor's degree in law or BA. LLB.
One can either take a three year law course after graduation in any discipline, or a five year course after 10+2, now offered by some universities .

There is an all India entrance test for admission to the five year law degree course at the National Law School of India, Bangalore, the premier law institution which offers five year B.A.LL.B. (Hons). The students should secure 50% marks in core subject and english put together and not be above 20 years of age on july 1st of the year of admission (22 years for SC/ST). Advertisements for entrance are out in March and test is on 1st sunday of May held in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Calcutta and Cochin.

The National Law Institute, Bhopal, as well of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad are also patterned on the same lines and so also National Law University, Jodhpur. Other institutions offering the five year law degree programme include Symbiosis Society's Law College, Pune; Shivaji University, Kolhapur and the Universities of Nagpur, Madras, Calcutta and Pondicherry, the ILS Law College, Pune and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

  Answer 14- Selection for the post graduate courses (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology is made on the basis of merit. The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, holds a combined entrance examination every year for admission to the M.Sc. course in Biotechnology offered at almost 19 universities. Eligibility for the exam is graduation in Physics, Biology, Agriculture, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering and Medical.

The major universities offering the M.Sc. Programme through the joint entrance exam including (1) BHU, Varanasi (2) Pondicherry University (3) M.S. University, Baroda (4) Poona University (5) Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore (6) Goa University (7) GND University, Amritsar (8) Cenral University, Hyderabad (9) Madura Kamraj University, Madurai (10) Punjab University, Chandigarh (11) G.B. Through this examination candidates are also selected for M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology offered at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Coimbatore and GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and for the M.Tech programme in Biotechnology at Anna University, Chennai and Jadavpur University, Calcutta.

While the B.Sc. is of three years duration, the B.Tech course is of four years and the M.Sc. course programme in Biotechnology offered at the IITs is five years duration. A post M.Sc. course in Biotechnology is offered at the Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh.   Answer 16- You can think of doing MBA by correspondence from IGNOU-New Delhi. It will increase your job prospects as you are already doing MCA. Full time MBA is certainly better than correspondence course. MBA by correspondence from IGNOU is equally good so is the case of MBA (ICODE) done from ICFAI-Hyderabad.The other institutes offering MBA through correspondence are :Symbiosis institute,Pune,AIMA-(CME)New Delhi.  












  Answer 17- A B.Ed degree will have practical as well as theoretical application of the subject.   Answer 18- This branch of engineering involves examining, analyzing, designing, manufacturing and occasionally installing components that make up civilian and defence aircrafts, spacecraft, high-altitude delivery systems (missiles).

The focus of the subject is mainly on design and development ant could possibly involve space and satellite research too.

A BE/B.Tech degree is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, Mumbai, Kanpur and Kharagpur (WB); and also by the Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Admission is through the Joint Entrance Test (JEE) conducted in January and May every year along with the entrance for other streams. Punjab Engineering College too conducts an entrance test.

Other than IIT,s some other institutes also offer 3 to 4 year course in aeronautical engineering equvalient to the course of AMAeSI.These are Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering,Dheradhun; Institute of Aviation Technology,Haryana;Hindustan Group of Institutions,Chennai.











  Answer 19- Engineering examination in the above mentioned states are: Karnataka (K-CET), Andhra Pradesh (EAMCET) and Tamil Nadu (TNCPEE).   Answer 20- Correspondence courses do not have much demand in Indian markets. So I would suggest you to go in for regular course though it is a little more expensive.
After doing the course, get 2 to 3 years of job experience and then appear for TOEFL and GMAT exams for a globally recognized management degree from a foreign university.
